SUMMERFRUIT

The firm Summerfruit s.r.l.was founded with the aim of running and promoting the new early ripening kiwi variety, through the trademark SUMMERKIWI™, the rights of which are its property. Summerfruit pursues the aim of spreding, increasing the value of, and assuring all passages this variety will perform: from the production of the plant in the nursery, to the final consumer who will eat the fruit.

A few years after the first sale of SUMMERKIWI™ plants, the balance must be considered positive, since the estimated productive capacity for the year 2005 is 30.000ql of fruits, coming from installations in the Italian provinces which are most propitious to this kind of production.

Moreover, installations have been realised in France, too, where in 2003 the society Summerkiwi France, coordinating the whole French system, was founded, to develop best the whole supply chain. The French organisation was founded together with the member Sofruileg of the group Scap Kiwifruits de France to promote and increase the value of the product, making it recognizable through a trademark policy.
